Founded in 2014, ALFARO DESIGN LLC has established itself as a leader in the field of yacht design and small-craft naval architecture. Attention to detail combined with extensive knowledge has delivered consistent, exceptional results in collaboration with industry leaders in manufacturing and design.

Earl Alfaro, founder of ALFARO DESIGN LLC, began a career in yacht design in 1987. At age 20, he began what would become a 13-year mentorship working in the design studio of the renowned naval architect Tom Fexas, whose career was launched with the retro-styled 44’ Midnight Lace commuter power boat. Under Tom’s tutelage, Earl learned firsthand the many facets in yacht design, including the principles of hull efficiency combined with the benefits of lightweight structural engineering.

Since then, Earl’s diverse career includes working within manufacturing facilities in roles ranging from Senior Designer through Product Development Manager. In each of these positions, a wealth of experience in semi-custom and production boat building was accumulated in power and sail, while working for companies such as Pursuit Boats, Palmer Johnson, Intermarine Savannah, and Grand Banks Yachts.

Today, ALFARO DESIGN LLC has been instrumental in the successful launch of various new designs and customization refits. Whether working independently or within a team of collaborators, we bring a wealth of experience and knowledge from which innovation and creative solutions are born.
